More new house pics and updates

We are insane! Have I mentioned that? We got our house last Thursday and moved in a little bit of stuff.  Our main haul happened on Saturday late afternoon and we have already rearranged a few areas of our house! And painted! And had company (my adorable nephew) staying with us this whole time.

We are in rush mode now.  My sister, husband and remaining 3 kids arrive tomorrow by dinner.  They are here for 1 week, we leave for a few days, they come back for a day and the same day they leave? More company comes and then we have overlapping people at our house for the two weeks after that.  So in other words? House has to be done and lived-in-looking before tomorrow night.  We are doing good though! Husband and I sat and watched tv last night for an hour in the new living room and just breathed. It was lovely and cosy and we adore it.  We both commented on how much more we love our small space than the two larger ones we had before this.

START WITH A BARE WALL.

LAY OUT YOUR WOOD.  YOU NEED BOARDS TO SCREW TO THE WALL, BOARDS AS HIGH AS YOU WANT THE SHELVES AND MORE FOR AS DEEP AS YOU WANT THEM.

FIND YOUR STUDS AND SCREW YOUR SUPPORT BOARDS TO THE WALL.

LIGHTLY ATTACH YOUR OUTSIDE FRAME BOARDS.  WE WOULD HAVE BUILT THE WHOLE FRAME AND THEN STOOD IT UP, BUT WE HAD TO MICKEY MOUSE IT BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF SPACE DOWN THERE.

ATTACH YOUR VERTICAL BOARDS

UNSCREW THIS SECTION FROM THE BASE WALL BOARDS.  GET YOUR WIFE TO HOLE IT UP FOR YOU

LAY DOWN PRE CUT PLYWOOD OR WOOD OF CHOICE IN BETWEEN  TWO SECTIONS

SCREW THEM DOWN

CONTINUE FOR AS MANY SHELVES AS YOU WANT

Today was a good day.  Got a lot done AGAIN.  We are machines.  Have I mentioned that? We are also exhausted.  Husband is in the middle of stacking the washer and dryer and putting up shelves for me.  The final project for the house this month.  Then? We are going to veg on the couch and do nothing until I head to bed and the boys head to the midnight opening of Avengers.  Company comes tomorrow and I am super excited.  Have some work to get done first, but it is coming along! And thankfully I have been able to partially ignore my business this week in order to get so much done.

I will be sporadic over the next week with company, but I will keep on posting changes around here! And maybe a recipe or two :)
