My day in a nutshell

I have been looking forward to today for way too long!

A new friend, Hello L!, and I are hanging out today.  She is leaving me soon, but we decided that we don't care and we are going to become better friends anyways! Love people like that.

On the agenda today is:

  • Lunch

The Enjoy Center- for lunch.  You should google this place.  It is amazing! And oh so pretty.  It is a huge greenhouse done by Lois Hole (a famous gardener) and her family.  There is a cafe, restaurant, spa, grocery store (all specialty stuff), greenhouses, decor area, kitchen gadget heaven and more!

  • Shopping

I need to go to Davids Tea and get Husband some Mint Chocolate Rooibos.  He drinks a huge mug a day.  Maybe I should get stocks in this stuff! Loves him some tea.  I think it is funny!

  • Curtains

I need curtains for our bedroom.  Can't decide on a color though.  Maybe I will make L decide.  I should get these nasty pink ones and see what Husband says! That would be too funny.  The ones that are in there now are nice, but they are more than a foot too short (hello crazy me can't handle that) and I need them for another doorway/window in our house.  I have managed to reuse all the curtains that we bought for our last rental.  I just need two more panels! And with nice little coupons, should not cost me too much.

  • A movie!

I think we are heading to go see this as well.

Other than that? We are just going to enjoy hanging out and doing whatever! I am looking forward to it.  This should be a fairly quiet weekend as Husband is still out of town.  I am trying to get everything done before Christmas, which we found out he doesn't have off! He is going to call today and make sure he gets it off.  Not cool people.  I have decided that this year I will have no stress around the holiday.  I will buy my groceries, make my food, enjoy my company, smile lots and listen to too much Christmas music.  So far so good!  I even went to a concert last night! I went to see the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and a huge choir (104 people) sign the entire Handel's Messiah.  Wow.  That is all I can say.  It was amazing! I am planning to go again next year.  I also want to add the Singing Christmas Tree and The Nutcracker to my repertoire for next Christmas.  There is just something about music and the arts at Christmas that makes me so happy.

I should go.  I need to get ready for the day and get some laundry put away.  I decided that I hate folding laundry so I am just leaving it in the laundry room.  Yup.  I am that immature.  Time to put it away.  There are probably 10 loads in there! And I do have company coming on Monday.  And maybe today.  And actually? Maybe tomorrow!

Have a lovely last Saturday before Christmas!!!
